You may have heard of the Caterpillar Club. It's an
informal association started in 1922 and is open
to anyone who has saved his life by bailing out
of a disabled airplane with a parachute. The
caterpillar term refers to the silk threads used in
the early parachutes.

For people who suffer from motion sickness (airsickness) in aviation, I propose an unofficial club called
the "Flat on the Grass Club." Any pilot who ever has
had to land prematurely so he could climb out of the
plane and lie flat on the ground for a while because of
motion sickness is automatically a member. You
