Return of Champions Celebrates the 'Best of the Best'
There's nothing quite like winning
a Gold or Silver Lindy at Oshkosh.
This year EAA is giving past winners
another chance to shine, as AirVenture invites all past Grand Champions and Reserve Grand Champions
to attend the weeklong Return of
Champions celebration.
Owners are cordially invited to participate in the festivities, and we'll make
it worth their while; they'll receive
a complimentary weekly wristband,
special display signage, and a commemorative plaque.
These Oshkosh icons will be spot-
lighted through daily aerial performances and special parking displays
on Phillips 66 Plaza as well as in their
respective areas. Phillips 66 Plaza will
also host special Champions in Review sessions daily Monday through
Saturday, featuring select champions
from the various judging categories.
Aeromart to Open a Day Earlier
EAA's Aeromart at AirVenture will open a full day earlier than
usual starting this year, as vendors can begin to check in their
items at noon on Saturday, July 27. Aeromart will then be open
for business on opening day Monday, July 29, through Saturday, August 3.
The EAA Aeromart, run by EAA's Vintage Aircraft Association
(VAA) volunteers, offers a place for enthusiasts to buy and sell
their unused aviation-related parts and tools. Sellers make
a few dollars, while builders/restorers can get good deals to
help finish their projects.
Aeromart is located at the end of Mulva Way—the southeast
road after passing through AirVenture's main entrance.
